TEC Air Conditioner
Thermoelectric cooling, also known as semiconductor cooling, primarily uses the Peltier effect to achieve cooling. The Peltier effect occurs when a direct current (DC) voltage is applied across a junction of two different conductive materials, causing heat absorption at one junction and heat release at the other. By applying a DC voltage across the P-N junctions made of specialized thermoelectric materials, cooling (or heating) can be achieved. Adjusting the input voltage allows precise control of the cooling capacity. Unlike traditional vapor-compression refrigeration, thermoelectric cooling does not use refrigerants (eliminating leakage and environmental pollution) and does not require complex mechanical equipment or piping. Simply supplying DC power to the thermoelectric module can quickly provide cooling or heating, making it convenient and rapid.
